We're Still Here
I just wanted to let everyone know that Nick's Foundation is still here!
In December, the foundation was able to give $3,000 to a children's home for disabled children in India so that they could celebrate the holiday season with gifts and special food.
Saturday the foundation will be sharing princess children's books with nearly one hundred little girls at a community fundraising tea party.

While the foundation is definitely in a time of soul-searching for its core purpose, we feel strongly that Nick is still supposed to be making a difference in the world in some special way in the years to come.
We will keep you posted as we pray and listen for God's leading.
Much love from our family to yours!

Nick: Still Making a Difference Every Single Day
Although we haven't posted much news in the past several months, Nick's Foundation continues to change communities and lives every day. Recently, three more swings were purchased to place around the college campus in our small town. These swings will have plaques in memory of several kids from our town who have passed away in the past couple of years.
Nick's Foundation continues to be actively involved in helping local charity events through financial gifts. Right now, the University of Kentucky is hosting a marathon to raise money to help fight cancer and Nick's Foundation is a contributor through one of our local students who is a participant in the marathon.
Nick's mom, Tammy, has published a book which is available on Amazon by clicking here:
All of the proceeds from this book are being shared between Nick's Foundation to help with the orphanage in India and Todd's (one of Nick's brothers) mission trip to Southern Asia.
The book is selling well and has already helped many people as they walk the road of grief.
God is definitely using Nick to make a difference in this world every single day.
We miss him so much, but we are incredibly blessed to call him our son.
Love you all!

What's Happening Now?!?!
Nick's Foundation has been fairly inactive for the past few months,
but things are starting to pick back up again!
We are currently working towards adding three more swings to the campus of Kentucky Christian University as well as planning the third annual Memory Walk/Run in Grayson, Kentucky.
Proceeds from this race will be shared between Relay for Life and a non-profit organization that helps plant new churches in India.
We are also working towards publishing a book which will help raise the rest of the money needed to build the kitchen and dining hall for the orphanage in Damoh, India.
When Nick's Foundation first began, we had all kinds of energy and ideas.
Five years later, we find ourselves reevaluating our goals and mission statement.
Nick Nooks are still being restocked in many doctors' offices and hospitals in our area.
This makes me smile, because reading was Nick's favorite past-time! I know he would love seeing kids reading books with their families while waiting to see the doctor.
We are passionate about helping India learn about the One true and living God and about helping kids learn to love reading.
These seem to be our two main passions.
We will keep you posted on how these two passions unfold.
Thank you for still caring about Nick's legacy.
He still touches lives every day!

Looking Ahead!
This past school year has been a busy one, and because of this I haven't posted often on Nick's Foundation website.
Even though I haven't posted, Nick's Foundation has still been busy!
Over the past few months, here are some of the things the foundation has been doing:
1. Helped a family collect the funds needed to build a ramp to their front porch for their daughter's wheelchair.
2. Helped purchase an IPad for a boy who is unable to communicate verbally with his family.
3. Helped send a seamstress to Haiti to deliver clothing she had made to children in a Christian school.
4. Supported Relay for Life with a $1,000 donation.
5. Continued the collection of pop tabs for Ronald McDonald Houses.
6. Continued resupplying of children's books to Nick Nooks in area doctor's offices and hospital.
OUR NEXT BIG VENTURE IS TO FOCUS ON THE ORPHANAGE IN INDIA......................
I'll have more information soon about this project!
Until then, know that your donations make a difference and your love and support mean the world to our family!
Thankful for all of you!
